The most common bender used for Healey work is the Triple-Header Lever-Type Bender.
Capacity: It features a single head with three distinct grooves, typically sized for 3/16″, 1/4″, and 3/8″ tubing.
Healey Application: * 3/16″: Used for the primary brake lines.
1/4″: Used for the clutch hydraulic line.
3/8″ (or 5/16″): Used for the main fuel feed lines running along the chassis.
Austin-Healeys have very low ground clearance. The brake and fuel lines are tucked into the corners of the chassis box sections. If a line is bent poorly (free-handed) and sags even a half-inch, it risks being snagged by road debris or flattened against the frame.
